If you are like me, you may have overindulged during the holiday season. Do your body a favor and revive your cells by drinking some lemon and sage tea.

Lemon and Sage Tea by Diverse Dinners

Did you get involved in a touch of binge drinking during the holidays? Well fear not, this lemon and sage tea will help reinstate your vigor. Lemon and sage tea is easy to create, you simply heat some lemon juice and water, then allow the fresh sage to infuse. The result is a healing cup of tea, refreshing and revitalizing.

The lemon in this tea will help to release toxins, and its vitamin c will help boost your immune system. Sage is also immune system boosting, also high in vitamin A, and a great relief for digestion issues.

Sage is purported to help the body in so many ways but should be enjoyed in moderation to aid healing. Lemon and sage tea is not a cure.

Here’s a list of the benefits of drinking lemon and sage tea:

  • Lemon and Sage Tea by Diverse DinnersPromotes mental clarity and enhances memory.
  • Stimulates the appetite.
  • Can reduce blood sugar levels.
  • Can lower blood pressure.
  • High levels of vitamin K helps with bone density.
  • Provides some relief to women suffering with hot flashes during menopause.
  • A natural diuretic, which will help flush out the kidneys.
  • Can provide relief when suffering from a cold and/or sore throat.

Lemon and sage tea is a great combination, it tastes as it is described, lemony with a sage background. It’s delightful! Strangely, even with all that zing from the lemon juice, you will find that you are less likely to add sugar to this tea. Somehow once the sage is infused it gives off a slightly sweet flavor, it’s extraordinary. But if you find it’s not sweet enough, go ahead and add a little something sweet.

Due to sage’s ability to affect blood sugar and blood pressure, I reiterate, it is wise to drink lemon and sage tea in moderation. A few cups of tea per week is fine, however, I would also suggest you monitor your condition closely.
