Baked Honey Mustard Salmon is one of those easy peasy recipes, a no fail combo you will cook again and again. This is a go to weeknight recipe for me. I cook Baked Honey Mustard Salmon, or a derivative of it, at least once a month.
Approx. 30 minutes and three easy steps is all it takes to get this dish on the dinner table. To create, mix together a marinade of whole grain mustard, honey, garlic granules, rice vinegar, sesame oil and soy sauce. Coat salmon fillets with marinade and bake in the oven for 30 minutes – et voila!
I used whole grain mustard to match the smokey taste and aroma of the sesame oil. The sweet and sour of the honey and rice vinegar add complementing flavor profiles, and the garlic tempers the oily character of the salmon. All together it’s a winning dish.
Salmon is a superfood and does wonders for the heart, memory and joints. Omega 3 is the vital fatty acid present in salmon. To gain maximum benefits purchase wild, organic or sustainably caught salmon. Mackerel and sardines are other fish that are also rich in omega 3. Do your best to consume foods that are rich in omega 3 at least three times a week.
Baked Honey Mustard Salmon makes for a great date night dish, just follow the instructions and then get to prepping yourself for a wonderful night with your loved one.
I love this recipe, it’s so easy and very tasty. I hope you like it too.
