Hi there, have you missed me? I’m so sorry to neglect you for so long but I’ve been terribly busy. Awfully busy and unable to get into the kitchen to create and share. Being away for so long was tough for me, but I’m back with a really easy and totally divine recipe, Dalgona Coffee.

Dalgona Coffee is all over the internet right now, so I had to get in on the act and share. While we are all sheltering in place, we need to get creative in the kitchen to appease the boredom. This is a fun recipe that will shake up your usual coffee morning. It will also open you up to just a smidge of creativity before you get back to your routine. Coffee and creativity makes for a great mood lifter.

This is such an easy recipe, all you need is some instant coffee, sugar, water and milk. Use whatever type of milk and sugar you prefer, I used oat milk and light brown sugar. However, you must use instant coffee, ground coffee beans will not work in this recipe.

You will also need an electric hand-held mixer to create the frothy topping, which is created by combining the coffee, sugar and water and whipping it up into peaks. It takes just a minute or so to get that frothy whipped texture.

This recipe is served hot, but if iced coffee is more your thing go with an iced version instead. No need to tweak the recipe, just use iced milk instead of warm milk.

The smooth velvety texture of this coffee is so comforting. I think I’ll be enjoying a Dalgona Coffee on a regular basis. Well, at least until I’ve finished my small jar of Nescafe.
