On the weekend I like to make myself a really nice brew. A tasty tea for me and only me, just like today’s recipe – Ginger Lime Mint Tea.
It’s great to have a stash of teabags to make yourself a cup of tea when you’re in a hurry, but making your own blend with fresh ingredients is much more satisfying. If you try this recipe you will notice that your Ginger Lime Mint Tea is very powerful in taste. It is likely you will want more very soon.
Ginger Lime Mint Tea, is as it’s described. Grated fresh ginger, lime juice and a couple sprigs of mint. It’s a totally delicious stomach settling brew bonanza that is also good for, amongst other things, the joints and gums.
This tea has a bit of a zing to it, it’s refreshing and revitalizing, so you might feel inspired to hit the gym or do a home workout routine. I must admit, it didn’t inspire me to workout, but it definitely helped to engage my brain. I’m full of ideas this morning.
I used a microplane to grate the ginger which helps to break down the fibers and release the flavor. If you don’t have a microplane, I’d recommend looking into buying one, they’re a great kitchen tool.
You can double the ingredients in this recipe to make enough for four, and it stores well in the fridge for a few days if you have any left over.
