Guava Mango Carrot Juice is packed full of antioxidants. I love it right now because it helps build the immune system, it also tastes so good. My schedule for the next few months is all go and I cannot afford to get a cold. So, I will be enjoying many glasses of this juice to protect me from cruelties of the common cold.
The only other ingredient added to Guava Mango Carrot Juice is ginger. Now, you only need a little. You don’t want to overpower the flavors of the fruit and veg, you just want to heighten the flavors. I suggest a 1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger in the recipe. However, if you are still uncertain of what that looks like use your thumbnail as a gauge for size. A piece of ginger that size will do.
When juicing the ingredients, alternate the order you feed them into the juicer, and make sure not to leave the ginger to last as you might find a lot of the ginger juice stays in the juicer. When juicing, I always leave a few pieces of the fruit or veg that releases the largest amount of juice. In this case, that would be the mango.
I use a cold press juicer to make my juices, and I highly recommend getting one. I should warn you that they are not cheap, but they are very efficient and make light work of juicing fruits, vegetables. They are also great for making your own nut milk. Mine also makes tofu and ice cream but I haven’t tried making either as yet.
Guava Mango Carrot Juice has a smoothie-like consistency and can work as a breakfast substitute if you prefer a light breakfast. In addition, it makes for a great snack – a sugar hit with added health benefits.
Guavas are available November through April. If you don’t live in an area where guavas are easily found, you should be able to get them in a grocery store that sells international fruits.
Guavas are green or greenish yellow on the outside and white or pink on the inside. Don’t get hung up on whether you are able to get ripe guavas, and don’t go to the trouble of waiting for them to ripen when you get them home. This juice will taste great no matter the level of guava ripeness or variety.
