The next time you have friends over for a meal straight from the grill give this recipe a try. Sesame Ginger Soy Grilled Lamb Chops are delightful. Just marinate some frenched lamb chops in a combination of sesame oil, fresh ginger, soy sauce and garlic for at least one hour, then grill, and then serve.
You can make these Sesame Ginger Soy Grilled Lamb Chops inside too. Use a grill pan if you have one, alternatively a skillet will do.
Each lamb chop only needs to be cooked for approx. 3 minutes each side. A little less or more dependent upon how thick they are. Your grill needs to be nice and hot so as not to dry out these wonderful batons of meat.
Sesame Ginger Soy Grilled Lamb Chops will make a nice fancy dinner. Serve them as I have done below at your next cocktail party – just add napkins. If you like you can add a dipping sauce to heighten the flavors.
If you buy your lamb chops from a butcher, ask them to french your lamb chops for you. Meaning, get them to remove the flesh and fat from thin part of the bones. The batch I bought came as a rack and were frenched already. I just had to cut them into individual chops. However, a butcher would likely remove all of the flesh on the thin part of the bone. Frankly, I think either preparation is fine.
I served this particular batch for dinner with a farro and power greens salad with a very light dressing. This was an awesome meal, we licked fingers, rub our stomachs and pulled at our waistbands all the while beaming with gastronomic delight.
If you decide to try this recipe, however you serve your lamb chops, know that the lucky recipients will be happy.
